Short version. This website sets no cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. One small value is stored in your own browser to stop the contact form being abused, and it never leaves your device.
1. Cookies we set
None. This site does not set cookies — not for analytics, not for advertising, not for personalisation, not for A/B testing. There is no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, no Meta pixel, no LinkedIn Insight tag, and no session recording.
2. Local storage we do use
The contact form writes one entry to your browser's localStorage. This is
not a cookie: it is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and it is readable only by
this site on your own device.
| Name | rm_contact_sends |
|---|---|
| Contains | A list of timestamps of contact-form submissions from this browser. No personal information. |
| Purpose | Rate-limiting. It caps how many enquiries one browser can send per hour and per day, which is what keeps automated spam out of our inbox without a CAPTCHA. |
| Lifetime | Entries older than 24 hours are discarded on the next use. |
This is strictly necessary for a feature you asked for (a working, non-abused contact form), so it does not require consent under Canadian or EU rules. Clearing your browser's site data removes it; the form still works afterwards.
3. Third parties your browser contacts
Every file a page needs — the typeface, the images, the JavaScript libraries — is served from this domain. Simply loading a page contacts no one else, so no third party sees your IP address or browser user-agent in the process. Two services are involved beyond that:
| Netlify | Hosts the site and keeps standard server logs, as any web host does. |
|---|---|
| FormSubmit | Contacted only at the moment you submit the contact form, to relay the enquiry to our inbox. It is not contacted while you are simply reading. |
Embedded video and map links on the Site point to third-party platforms. If you follow or play one, that platform's own cookie policy applies from that point.
4. Controlling this
Because we set nothing, there is nothing here to turn off. If you want to block the third-party requests above, any content blocker or your browser's privacy settings will do it — the site remains usable, though it will fall back to a system typeface and some animation will not run.
Browser instructions: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge.
5. If this changes
If we ever add analytics or any other non-essential technology, we will update this page and put a proper consent banner in place before it starts collecting anything.
